Pay super now

Quarterly, monthly or fortnightly payments

We can help you establish a system so you can hit the due dates efficiently.

Register to pay contributions

If you are a new employer we encourage you to join online.

Pay contributions online

When you have finished the registration process, you will be given an Employer ID number so that you can login at EmployerOnline which is a secure online tool that allows you to manage your super obligations.

You can use EmployerOnline to:

  • Submit and track your contributions
  • Add Employees
  • Manage your employee's details

If you are already registered as a Prime Super employer, log into your EmployerOnline account and follow the prompts to register additional employees and make payments for employees who are members of Prime Super.

Are you SuperStream compliant?

All employers are required to submit super data and payments through an ATO approved electronic channel. The Superannuation Clearing House* (SCH) accessed through EmployerOnline meets the ATO's requirements.

Use SCH to submit your payments and employee super records to multiple super funds in one step. To sign-up for SCH On-line, simply follow the prompts in your EmployerOnline account. We can assist you with this.

When is super due?

Super is due to be paid monthly or quarterly, by 28th of the following month. If the due date is on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, making payments on the following business day is possible. As an employer you must make Superannuation Guarantee (SG) payments by the due date to avoid a government penalty.

Monthly super payment due dates

The monthly superannuation due date is always the 28th of the following month, for example, the super payment for July wages is due by 28th August. If this system does not suit your business, it is also possible to make fortnightly or quarterly super payments.

What happens when super is paid late?

You may incur a Superannuation Guarantee Charge (SGC) by the ATO if you did not pay your employee's superannuation guarantee contribution on time or to the right super fund. If so, you are required to submit a SGC statement and pay the SGC to the ATO.
