Over the past year, Prime Super has been recognised as one of Australia’s exceptional super funds in two distinct categories.

Money Magazine’s gold medal property award

Money Magazine’s Best of the Best gold medal award acknowledges Prime Super’s high performing property investment option as the best property product offered in super in 2022.

The prestigious award recognises the consistent, long-term performance of Prime Super’s property option which has delivered returns of 12.57%, well above the industry median of 8.15% over the last 10 years[i].

According to Rainmaker’s Director of Research, Alex Dunnin, “There are more than 500 superannuation products in Australia, offering tens of thousands of investment choices. The Money superannuation awards span best-performing products [and] best-value products[ii]”.

Rainmaker AAA-rating

Prime Super continues to hold its triple-A rating which recognises quality and excellence in an Australian super fund based on a range of benchmarks, including:

  • Organisational strength and administration,
  • Communications,
  • Investment mix,
  • Investment performance,
  • Investment processes,
  • Fees,
  • Insurance, and
  • Extra services provided for members.

More than 700 superannuation products were assessed by Rainmaker during a challenging time. "There has been a great deal more scrutiny placed upon super funds in the last few years,” said Alex Dunnin, Director of Research at Rainmaker Information.
