Prime Super Director wins Industry Service Award

Prime Super's newest director Gerard Parlevliet was today honoured with an industry service award at the Selecting Super Awards in Melbourne.
Here’s why Selecting Super chose to recognise Gerard.
“Gerard has been involved in the Australian superannuation industry for almost three decades. And while he recently stepped down from his role as Chief Investment Officer of Commonwealth Bank Group Super, the $10 billion staff fund for employees of the Commonwealth Bank, where he led a team responsible for market monitoring and assessing the big themes likely to impact the fund’s investment strategy and tactics.
Commbank Group Super is an unusual beast being a hybrid fund consisting of defined benefits, lifetime pensions and accumulation members.
But it wasn’t that he led this team, it was how he led the team with integrity and reinforced the fund’s reputation.
This isn’t all Gerard did - or does. He has also been more broadly involved in the superannuation industry on a voluntary basis serving on various committees for the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) and the Fund Executives Association Limited (FEAL) which is part of the reason for him being awarded in 2013 a National Achievement Award as Chief Investment Officer of the Year.
Easy to see why Prime Super appointed him to their board just a few months ago although he also claims expertise in lawn bowls (he’s on the board of his bowling club too) and is a musician.”
Congratulations Gerard – we’re extremely proud.
