Our insurance options

Prime Super has six insurance options to choose from

Insurance option Description Rates available
Default cover All eligible Prime Super members are entitled to two units of death and TPD cover when they join the Fund. Standard, white collar and professional
Increased cover You can increase the number of death and/or TPD units of cover. Standard, white collar and professional
Reduced or no cover

You can reduce your level of cover to one (1) unit of death & TPD cover or reduce your death & TPD cover to death only cover.

Alternatively you may be ineligible for default cover or choose not to be insured in the Fund.

Fixed cover You select a specific sum insured for death and TPD cover, which will not change from year to year. Standard, white collar and professional
Income Protection You can apply for this cover in addition to your death and/or TPD cover. Standard, white collar, professional and special risk
Trauma insurance Trauma insurnace covers you in the event of a medical trauma that leaves you unable to work. This insurance is offered directly through our insurer and does not cover you in the event of death. Not applicable
